The Land Court
Effective January 1, 2006, the Massachusetts Land Court has issued a revision to their Manual of Instructions For the Survey of Lands and Preparation of Plans. Dated in 2006, this was the first revision since 1989. It was revised with assistance from the surveying community, most notable, the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers (MASLCE) to account for the great many technological changes in the surveying industry over the last 20 years. These regulations involve the requirements for all surveys involving registered land including original registrations, subdivisions of registered land and condominiums of registered land.
