MetroNorth Corporate Center, Woburn, MA

Scope of Work:
Hancock Associates provided comprehensive layout services to facilitate the construction of site infrastructure, office buildings and pre-cast parking structures. Other services included ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys to facilitate financing and engineering review, roadway as-built survey, street acceptance plans to facilitate acceptance of the new road as a public way.
MetroNorth Corporate Center is located off I-93 just beyond the intersection with Route 128. Twelve office buildings, seven pre-cast parking garages, a bridge over the Aberjona River and ½ mile of new roadway are proposed or under construction.
Shrewsbury High School, Shrewsbury, MA

Scope of Work:
Hancock Associates provided existing conditions mapping, wetlands delineation, environmental permitting services and boundary surveys to facilitate the design for this new 275 acre Shrewsbury High School off Holden Street. Hancock was later hired by the site contractor to provide construction layout of over 7500 linear feet of access roads, approximately 2,000,000 square feet of athletic fields, drainage and parking areas.
This facility will serve as the Shrewsbury High School replacement building and has nearly 300,000 square feet of floor space and a capacity of 1700 students, staff and faculty. The building includes a gymnasium with an indoor track, an 850 seat auditorium, a 10,000 square foot media center, and advanced technology systems. The facility is considered by the School Committee as the "Flagship of the School System."
St. John's Preparatory School, Danvers, MA

Scope of Work:
Since the early nineties, Hancock Associates has been providing St. John's Preparatory School with multiple services throughout the years. Some of the projects that we worked on included:
- A full boundary survey, wetland delineation and aerial photogrammetric mapping of the 200 acre campus and holdings of a prominent secondary school. These were to facilitate campus mapping for a new athletic complex, ice rink, library and ball fields as well as long range planning.
- Construction Surveying for the Studizinki Library
- Easement plans for the Ryken Center for the Arts
- Subdivision plans to facilitate land swaps between Xaverian Brothers property and St. John's Preparatory school property
- Existing conditions plans and site design for the Brothers Residence Hall
- Existing conditions plans for demolition of the Student Union Building
- Construction layout for under pinning of the Memorial Gymnasium
- Provided as-built drawings of erosion control measures for the Conservation Commission
- Construction inspection and Conservation Commission reports for drainage installation
- Provided a color rendering of the entire campus from aerial photography
Folio Boston at 80 Broad Street, Boston, MA

Scope of Work:
Hancock Associates provided settlement monitoring and a deformation survey for this new 135,000 square foot, high-rise building. The 14-story building contains 96 condominiums, 118 underground parking spaces, and 5,500 square feet of high end ground floor retail. 80 Broad Street is located between Franklin and Custom House Street on the edge of the new Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston's Financial District.
Services provided included monitoring of all abutting buildings and roadway surfaces for movement and/or settling during the installation of slurry walls and excavation of the foundation and 3-story below-grade parking garage. Data is acquired in the field by setting and surveying deformation monitoring points. Results are tabulated in X,Y,Z format and provided in a spreadsheet within 24 hours. Hancock also provided geographic grid coordinates of the location of the crane during the F.A.A. application process.
Chebacco Woods, Hamilton, MA

Acreage: 113 acres
Scope of Work:
Hancock Associates conducted comprehensive boundary survey, wetland mapping and topographic mapping via aerial photogrammetry for acquisition of forest by non-profit preservation group.
Property lines were plotted from an on-the-ground survey. Wetlands were plotted from on-the-ground survey and from photogrammetry. The land is to be maintained for passive recreation as well as protection of existing public water supply watershed area.
