Wayne Jalbert Explains Typical Timing for Land Surveys

Many homeowners are surprised to learn that it can take weeks or months to get project surveyed, designed and approved. Here are some typical timeframes:
Standard Projects
New Deck: 1 to 2 months
New Additions: 2 to 4 months
Special Permits: 4 months or more
Subdivisions: 6 months or more
Projects within 100’ of a Wetland:
2-3 months working with the appropriate Conservation Commission in addition to the Standard Project timeline above
Project within 200’ of a River
2-3 months working with the appropriate Conservation Commission in addition to the Standard Project timeline above

Amy Broadbent Hired as Manager of Administrative Services
Hancock Associates, a leading local provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, proudly announces the hiring of Amy Broadbent as the firm’s Manager of Administrative Services. She will oversee all administrative support functions including contracts, client relations, accounts receivable, collections, branch offices and technology.
Amy received her education in business management from Northern Essex Community College. She has over 10 years of experience in administrative and operations management as Director of Operations at J. Butler Property Management, LLC.
Amy is the co-president of the Beverly Middle School PTO and the Chair of the YMCA of the North Shore’s member-led community service program, Togetherhood. She lives with her husband and son in Beverly, Massachusetts.
“I’m excited to improve upon Hancock’s administrative functions by sharing best practices and also find ways to harness the staff’s strengths enabling them to be even more successful and happy in their careers,” said Amy.
