The Jordan family partnered with Vanguard Renewables to design, construct and operate an anaerobic digestion facility that converts farm and food waste into electricity. Hancock Associates assisted in the development of the biogas facility with wetland delineation and topographic mapping of the fields, pastures, barns and outbuildings on approximately 15 acres to begin the planning and permitting process. As the facility is designed and permitted, Hancock will provide construction staking services.

The APEX Center of New England is a world-class retail, hospitality, entertainment and activity complex located on 43 acres on Boston Post Road West. It features 11 high-profile buildings set within a beautifully landscaped campus that creates the feel of a contemporary village. Hancock Associates played a significant role in conducting all the pre-design surveys to facilitate the land planning and engineering, helping to shape the design of the buildings, landscape and traffic circulation. Hancock’s involvement continues throughout construction by providing all the construction surveying to a myriad of contractors. The end result will be an efficiently planned complex with an exceptional user experience.

In November of 2016, the Board of Governors at the Concord Antiquarian Society voted to move forward with a $13 million renovation and expansion plan. The project encompasses a new 12,900-square-foot education building, increased parking, renovations to the existing exhibit space and enhancements to the visitor area. Since the museum is located in a residential area and historic district that’s adjacent to wetlands, special approvals were needed. Hancock Associates was brought in during the five-year strategic and campus master planning process and conducted the land surveys to facilitate presentations to and approvals from the town’s Historic Districts Commission, Natural Resources Commission, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals. The Museum houses the collection of Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau, one of America’s greatest writers, also worked as a land surveyor for much of his life.

We first worked with Hancock Associates years ago when we needed land surveying services for the purchase of a plot of land. We’re now working with them on our $13 million dollar renovation and expansion plan. We came back to them and will continue to come back to them because of their excellent communication, responsiveness and ability to expedite work under tight deadlines. In fact, I just reached out to them to let them know we were ready to pour the foundation and they said “We’ll be right there!”
