Project Overview
Hancock Associates provided civil engineering, land surveying and wetland science services in the development of this large-scale mixed use commercial, retail and residential development project spanning 53 acres of undeveloped land. The complex consists of two hotels, four 40B residential apartment buildings, three restaurants, an assisted care living facility, a wastewater treatment facility and over 42,000 sq. ft. of commercial office and retail space. Hancock served as lead MEPA coordinator in preparation of full-scope Environmental Impact Reports in successful issuance of a MEPA certificate. We provided wetland delineations, wetland permitting under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and local town bylaws, vernal pool characterizations and impact analysis, floodplain calculations and drainage studies, wildlife habitat characterization and inventories, and preparation of wetland and wildlife habitat restoration plans as compensatory mitigation for environmental impacts.
