Rene L. Gagnon, P.E. Hired as Senior Project Manager

Hancock Associates, a leading local provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is pleased to announce that Rene L. Gagnon, P.E. has joined their civil engineering department as a Senior Project Manager. He is based out of Hancock’s Marlborough office at 315 Elm Street.

Rene has 15 years of experience as a project manager and civil engineer at several well-respected engineering firms in Massachusetts. His areas of expertise include land development planning and design, erosion and sedimentation control, construction administration and inspections in all aspects of commercial and residential planning and construction.

Rene has a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Massachusetts.

Rene lives in Middleborough, Massachusetts.

“I was looking for a position with great growth potential in a firm that has a great reputation. In my new role at Hancock, I’ll be able to manage interesting and complex projects and mentor junior staff. The position is a perfect fit for me,” said Rene.

Anthony Donato Hired as Boston Regional Office Manager

Hancock Associates, a leading local provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is pleased to announce that Anthony Donato, P.E., LEED AP recently joined the firm as a Senior Project Manager and Regional Office Manager of the combined Hancock/H.W. Moore Boston office. He is responsible for business development, financial management, staff oversight and project management for both the Hancock and H.W. Moore entities.

Anthony has over 25 years of experience with a long history of permitting in retail and residential developments throughout New England. Prior to joining Hancock Associates, he was a project manager and civil engineer at several well-respected engineering firms in Massachusetts.

Anthony has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, a licensed Soil Evaluator and LEED AP certified.

Anthony lives in Winchester, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.

“I enjoy being a Project Manager because it’s very gratifying to see a project completed and operational after months of due diligence, design, permitting and construction administration,” said Anthony. “In my new position at Hancock, I’m able to share my project management expertise with the staff at H.W. Hancock Associates Moves Noonan & McDowell Division to Chelmsford

Danvers, MA, May 28, 2019 — Hancock Associates, a leading local provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is pleased to announce its Noonan & McDowell division has moved to Hancock Associates’ Chelmsford location at 34 Chelmsford Street.

In 2018, Hancock Associates acquired Noonan & McDowell, a well-respected land surveying and civil engineering firm based in Billerica, to better serve clients with additional staff and services such as Constant Head Infiltration and Hydrant Flow Testing. By moving the office to Hancock’s Chelmsford location, clients will benefit from efficiencies available with the increased staffing including licensed Professional Surveyors and Engineers as well as technical and field staff.

Kristan Farr Joins Firm as Project Wetland Scientist

Hancock Associates, a leading local provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is pleased to announce that Kristan Farr has joined the firm as a Project Wetland Scientist. Kristan is based out of Hancock’s Danvers office and assisting in the preparation of applications for wetland permitting as well as research and wetland delineations in the field.

Prior to joining Hancock Associates, Kristan served as a Planning/Conservation Agent for the town of Danvers, an Energy and Environmental Planner for the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments and Geographic Specialist for the United States Census Bureau.

Kristan has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography from Bridgewater State College. She has a Wetland Science and Regulations Certificate and a Wetland and Open Space Law Advanced Certificate from the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions as well as a US ACOE Wetland Delineator Certification in Wetland Science from the Institute for Wetland and Environmental Education and Research. Kristan also completed the MassDOT/Federal Highway Administration’s Baystate Roads Program as a Roads Scholar.

Kristan lives in Beverly, Massachusetts.
